How Are You Surviving the Higher Purpose Wave?

“Do not believe anything because it is said by an authority or if it is said to come from the angels, or from the gods, or from an inspired source. Believe it only if you have explored it in your HEART, MIND, and SOUL and ONLY if you have found it to be true.”
~Gautama Buddha~

My grandfather used to say that life is all about repeating cycles. Everything comes back over the years. I've seen that in my lifetime. This is another renaissance cycle; the higher purpose trend. I feed on people; their feelings, concerns, and experiences. I live by the lessons my elders passed on. I put them together carrying them with me as I journey through my day.

This is what I see and hear and I would like you to answer these questions.
·         Have you written and published a book?
·         Are you traveling the world with your message?
·         Is your bank account growing?
·         Are you becoming known as an author, a healer, a guru in your field?
·         Are you living on a full time bliss?

If you answer no, then chances are you are not attuned with your higher purpose. That is my problem and the concern of many people I've spoken with.  “In an effort to get us closer to it, many of us feel inadequate, unable to reach it based on the advertised requirements”, a former student shared with me.
If you have been here long enough you know I am all about positive thinking, finding your passion and living through it, making the best and giving it back to the world, accepting who we are for what we are, and spreading our personal light. We can all make a difference by simply being us. The great masters delivered their teachings for free. Our best lessons are learned as we immerse in life, fully and as it is.
I write to inspire, to give the gift of distant worlds where hope is a constant and a bright future always possible. Traveling –when possible- is my way to connect and learn respect and tolerance. My bank account flows like the waves, in highs and lows. I like to share my voice because in doing it I heal myself. Many times I have been blessed enough to touch someone else’s life. That fulfills my mission and fills me with joy. Although I try my best, I don’t always have blissful days for the dark ones are needed for me to grow and appreciate more those when I am constantly laughing. Do I think I am living through my higher purpose? Yes, because I am here and I am doing my best with what I have, because I lend a hand when needed, an ear when no words are necessary, and a smile without a reason.
Attaining our higher purpose possess no pre-requisite but to engage in life; to live accepting who we are, being compassionate to others, striving to give the best of us every day, feeling our divinity as an extension of the main source of all, regardless of the name we use for it.

Live, love, cry, laugh…embrace the wonders of the human experience.

Invitation to Oneness:Because We Are Made For More

I've been out there lately, trying new things and letting go of others. That I will share with you later. Through it all, I have grown my awareness of gratefulness and what this way of living brings to us when we live through it every day.

As we approach the holidays, I want to share this invitation to oneness with all of you out there; all of you who listen to my voice through the distance. May you all be well. May you all find grace in your every day steps and happy thoughts to keep you warm. May you all rise up to the power of  one!

One song can spark a moment
One flower can wake the dream
One tree can start a forest
One bird can herald spring

One smile begins a friendship
One handclasp lifts a soul

One star can guide a ship at sea
One word can frame the goal

One vote can change a nation
One sunbeam lights a room

One candle wipes out darkness
One laugh will conquer gloom

One step must start each journey
One word must start a prayer

One hope will raise our spirits
One touch can show you care

One voice can speak with wisdom
One heart can know what is true

One Life can make a difference
And it can be yours.

Why We Should Keep Charging Ahead

I just came back from a 12 days stay in my country, taking care of my dad and helping my mother out; 89 and 72 are their ages. Life is a cycle of unexpected events and even those expected sometimes seem unreal. My father who was a teacher for more than 40 years has been losing his reality now living in the past most of the time with short glimpses of the present. One day I was the housekeeper, next an old niece he had not seen in years. Bright mornings will bring him back to the reality of our relationship; her daughter and princess.

These days helped me in getting to know him better while he shared unknown stories coming back from times past. Although mostly unaware of his situation at times he would let his wisdom shine. “In life you must keep fighting, living, and making the best of who you are with what you have. That’s your contribution to the world. That’s your legacy; the only thing you take with you to the other side.”

This is the reason of waking up every morning; to live fully and share abundantly regardless of the circumstances. Paying forward in gratefulness for everything he had done for me I realized that our purpose is to just do that; to engage in life with all its flaws doing our best to turn each day into something better for us and the ones we encounter in our path. Do not let the circumstances kill your inner fire, what drives you and inspires you to be who you are. Don’t let the world determine the way you should live, who to listen, aid or reach out to.

Memories come and go; they can give life or bring us closer to the end. They remind us that astonishing happenings occur every day and we are all live statements of every day miracles.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another great story by Paulo Coehlo. Real life down to earth characters struggling to find the meaning of life; a mirror of what we all go through day by day. The amazing story of Linda makes us ponder and question. What's life's ultimate purpose? What force moves us? What is it that we should all strive for?
