Jumping the Crossroad

He says, “Things are not how they look.” She says: “Confusion is part of being human.” At some point we all fear turning points. Crossroads are created to push, to challenge what we once thought right. In the middle of the maze, we are forced to stop, reflect, re-think, and re-structure. Life is filled with moments when a yes, no, or maybe could change our journey forever; when certain choices define who we are. The intelligent person will try to cheat the junctions trying to find a way around them.  The wise will sit quietly in the middle of it, examining each corner, pondering what they have to offer; questioning about which way would make him better. Then he will rise up with new eyes to see and new ears to hear.

Every crossroad poses an opportunity to start over; to prove ourselves that we are wiser and stronger than we think and, that believing in whom we are and our unlimited potential will always lead us to that special place we have always belong to.

“Each day is a new beginning. You can start fresh, anticipating what today will bring. Or you can just settle for yesterday's doubts, fears, or worries. Which road will you take? Do you take the path to the clear present or the shadows of the past?”

On Becoming You: True Colors

Ever since I published my book I have been back and forth from my memory box tracing the steps I had taken until that April 5th 2012, the day I added another dream accomplished to my list. How do we make dreams come true? The general opinion points at having courage and determination.  Others would say that we must close ears to the forecasters of bad omens, those negative by nature and frustrated with life because they have never been brave enough to roll the curtains and see the light. Both are great advises.  It is a tough job to become you, the one you truly want to become, the one you were born to be. There are too many blocks at times and we fall into the traps placed across the road precisely for us to crash. We want to raise a healthy and beautiful flower bed but we miss the watering and fertilizing. We are those flower and we need to nurture ourselves to grow strong and amazingly beautiful. There’s no other way to dismantle the disguises we cover ourselves with. There’s no other way of showing our true self.  On becoming you we must…

·         Develop an unshakable will to fight for who we are, what we believe, and what we wholeheartedly desire.
·         Be able to learn and relearn becoming teacher and student at once.
·         Accept our weaknesses as well as our strengths, turning the former into good qualities and making the latter even stronger.
·         Have faith in who we are and what we want.
·         Never desist. At times we will change the route but never the destination we want to arrive to.
·         Strip from that which doesn't serve us. Letting go of what we know and what we are used to is hard, but in finding the courage to do it for our own well being we are showing our inner power to create our own path.
·         Cast away all fears. What would be the worst that could happen after all?

In a world that has been driven by falseness  by prioritizing the vane and diminishing what’s real, isn't it worth the try to take the chance of revealing your true colors and make them shine? Go for it!

One day your life will flash before your eyes. Makes sure it is worth watching. ~Unknown~

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another great story by Paulo Coehlo. Real life down to earth characters struggling to find the meaning of life; a mirror of what we all go through day by day. The amazing story of Linda makes us ponder and question. What's life's ultimate purpose? What force moves us? What is it that we should all strive for?
